Description: Overview
Even more than scope creep, what is the one word that strikes the most fear into the heart of every project manager? Risk. Risk can and does happen on every single project that has ever been run; but often sponsors don’t want to hear about risk, or they just pay lip service to it. Yet if risks are ignored, they can sink even the best-planned projects. What’s a project manager to do?
This course takes participants through the risk management process of planning for, identifying, quantifying, and responding to risks throughout the project. It follows the processes outlined in PMI’s A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, using a case study and numerous workshops to practice the concepts. Document inspections occur throughout.
